Marketed by Keeler in early part of the 21st century, the Windsor A frame was two rungs up from Keeler’s basic “simple trial frame” with a price tag of nigh on £200. They have a reputation for being built to last with an abundance of stainless steel fixtures. Two most endearing features: 1. the weight bearing surface of the bridge is posteriorly offset relative to the main part to improve comfort; 2. You can turn a knob to tighten the cyl axis knob allowing for five movements when refining high cyls. The Chinese have produced a replica of this frame, which really looks the part. Unfortunately they got the bridge design wrong and created a frame that sits at a BVD of greater than 30mm. So while the replica is available for cheap, it’s use is confined to fancy dress parties.
