The Topcon 3D OCT-1 Maestro is an ophthalmic device that combines a high-resolution, nonmydriatic fundus camera with a spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) scanner. It is designed for automated, fully integrated imaging of the retina, including both a digital fundus image and a detailed OCT scan of the macula and optic nerve head in a single session.

Key features and functions: Automated operation: The device has a fully automated "alignment, focus, and capture" process, initiated with a single touch, making it easy to use even in small practices. 

Integrated imaging: It simultaneously captures a high-resolution colour fundus image and a wide-field OCT scan (\(12\times 9\) mm) in one pass. 

Advanced diagnostics: The system provides both 2D/3D fundus images and OCT scans, allowing ophthalmologists to diagnose and monitor a wide range of eye conditions, such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.

High performance: It uses spectral domain OCT technology to capture 50,000 axial scans per second, producing high-resolution images with a lateral resolution of \(20\) μm and an axial resolution of \(6\) μm. 

Pin Point Registration: A feature that correctly aligns the OCT image within the fundus image for precise location and follow-up.
