Introducing the all-new luxurious refraction unit from Rodenstock Instruments - the all-new Combi 400.

Launched in May 2006 at the MIDO trade fair in Milan, the Combi 400 is the latest product addition to the widely-admired Rodenstock range of ophthalmic instruments.

The Combi 400 is aimed at the discerning user and will accommodate the widest range of options and features - including purpose-designed wheelchair access.

Just one glance at the Combi 400 will reassure the user and the patient of the quality built in to this refraction unit. The best quality materials have been incorporated into its functional design, giving a lasting impression of quality and high professional standards. Expressive use of natural wood and high-quality aluminium, together with Alcantara seating fabric portray a truly inspiring appearance.

Functionality has been carefully considered when designing this unit. All mechanical movement of the instrument carriers are silently motorised and controlled by the electrical console on top of the rotatable trial case drawer element.

• Motorised left-right movement of the instrument table

• Motorised up-down movement of the instrument table (to accommodate large/small patients and wheelchairs)

• Motorised left-right and up-down movement of the phoropter arm

• Motorised up-down movement of the patient chair

To allow the patient to read at a more natural angle when reading the near vision chart through the phoroptor, the arm inclines forwards, whilst at the same time illuminating the chart with a halogen light source.

The luxurious reclining patient chair moves forward and backward to accommodate the widest range of patients and also features folding arm rests and footplate. The chair slides round to the back of the unit to allow easy access for patients in a wheelchair, who will also benefit by the up-down movement of the instrument table and phoropter arm.
