Handling is very easy

1. Measure the pupillary distance (mm)

2. Set the right platic mount (1) at this reading

3. Place the plastic mounts firmly against the superior and inferior orbital rim, aligning the black indicators (2a + 2b) with the patient´s pupils

4. Have the patient focus on your nose (near point fixation)

5. Close the appropriate eye - using your right eye to measure the patient´s left eye and vice verse. Move your head to bring the red vertical line (3a or 3b) into alignment with the notch in the scale (4a or 4b) - thus avoiding parallax errors - before recording the position of the corneal apex on the millimetre scale
